I'm a huge fan of Hidden Los Angeles, which is a fascinating website and blog that highlights cool happenings, as well as some of the seamier events in SoCal history. So as I prepare for my day on the red carpet bleachers, I couldn't help peeking at this photo from the 1952 Oscar broadcast - of an 80-year-old grandmother who was rushed to the hospital following a bleacher accident.
That clinches it when it comes to selecting footwear on Sunday. I am the clumsiest person in the world and wearing heels would be asking for a fall. It's gotta be rubber soles.
