Dear Friends, Colleagues and Clients:
My husband decided that yesterday was the day that I HAD to upgrade to Windows 7.
He has been nagging me about this since the summer, when he started using a Beta pre-release version. Now that we have the new home theater system that allows us to put the TV and other components on the computer network, he is determined to have EVERYTHING there.
He did not tell me that doing a “clean install” instead of a mere upgrade would mean I would not have access to my computer ALL DAY yesterday. Nor did he explain that I would then have to re-install all of my programs.
It’s like getting a new computer – without the benefit of actually getting a new computer.
I am confident I am going to love the new system once it's up and running with all the tools I am used to using, but right now I am still missing some of those and the ones I do have need to be tweaked.
I am woefully behind on everything, including the work I promised you by today.
Thank you for the confidence you have placed in me.
