A belated Happy New Year to everyone!
I have a TON of material to write about, after our sojourn to San Francisco and annual holiday celebration in Sacramento. It was a relaxed vacation -- partly because I didn't even TRY to blog (much) while we were away (thereby removing a major source of tension between my husband and me).
I am starting to plow through everything: I have new posts at High Maintenance and 50-Something Moms Blog. I've got some fun reviews to write -- and (of course) some new travel posts after our trip.
But I'm afraid those will have to wait. Today I need to tackle all the bills that came in while we were away, and that's not going to be fun. I swear, when the clock struck 12 on New Year's Eve, I had this urge to do a Rip Van Winkle. Wouldn't it be great to just sleep through this year and wake up in 2010?
Alas, that is not an option -- and although the world is a particularly scary place right now, there are lots of good things in store for our family this year. Must focus on the positive and the good possibilities... That will be my mantra for 2009.
And from time to time, I may need you all to remind me.
