My batteries ran out this weekend.
Figuratively.
I had the electronic capability of getting online and reading and writing and tweeting and keeping up with my social networks. I just didn't have the personal energy.
So I spent my weekend the old-fashioned way: Hanging out with my husband, daughter and nephew (who joined us for yet another gymnastics meet, out in Camarillo). We dined with the other team parents. And on Sunday, Megan and I lounged around the house, watching chick flicks and skimming through the paper.
I glanced at emails as they came over my Blackberry, but did not respond.
Of course, I'm paying for it this morning!
One thing I missed was the news that my MOMocrats colleague Julie Pippert was selected as a finalist on Fox News Radio's Battle of the Blog Talkers! Round one of the battle begins today at 2:00 p.m. Eastern (that's 11:00 here on the West Coast). Julie will be pitted against another left-leaning blogger today, but the "tournament" will also feature bloggers from the right - so there should be something this week for everybody.
If you get a chance, do listen to the program and vote for my friend Julie!
We now return to our originally scheduled programming (i.e., back to my bloated inbox).
