After my last post, I started to think that making a big deal about the game would only call attention to it. However, since then a lot of other moms have had a chance to look at the game and add their outrage to the furor begun by Liz at Mom101 -- and I'm back to wanting to start a letter writing campaign. At least, we let them know that this is not acceptable behavior for our kids.
Liz Ditz of I Speak of Dreams did a lot more research on the subject -- she's got names and email addresses of the powers that be at the network AND the company that created this horrible game.
Drums N Whistles took a look at the game and said it was even worse than she expected. I have yet to do so; because of the testing, I have been working more hours at the school than normal, cannot access it from there, and do not want to access it when I'm home with Megan around to see it.
And I probably won't get a chance this weekend: Megan has a meet on Sunday in San Diego - we are leaving tomorrow and will be meeting some friends who moved there a couple of weeks ago.
This also means I won't get to enjoy my dream Mother's Day brunch -- over at the ArcLight -- which would probably include a nice movie like "Friends With Money."
Maybe next year.
Happy Mother's Day, everyone!
