Starlighter, by Bryan Davis, is the story of a world where rumors of kidnapping dragons circulate. Jason, who has heard the stories his entire life, feels obligated to find a way to help the humans who are kidnapped and enslaved by dragons. Koren, one of the slaves, is desperate to find a way out. The two teenagers must find the portal between worlds in
order to save the slaves.

In a story that kids of all ages would enjoy, Davis creates two brand new worlds filled with fascinating creatures and characters. The characters grow on the reader slowly, until you are fully dedicated and worried about the dangers that Jason, Koren, and others are facing. However, descriptions of dragons and scenery were somewhat lacking, although the fantastic twists are sure to hold your attention.
